Born and raised in Cottage Grove. My knowledge of this area is immense. Growing up I was a competitive swimmer who achieved much success. In high school, I was voted Oregon's outstanding athlete in 1974. I attended Arizona State University on an athletic scholarship and helped my team win the NCAA national championships in 1977. I have been inducted into the ASU athletic hall of fame and Cottage Grove High School athletic hall of fame.
